Joanna Menagh // Aryan Nations leader accuses associate of murdering man with claw hammer and knuckle dusters – ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) – It is alleged Mr Taylor’s partner and mother of his young son, Melony Attwood, 36, planned the murder with Mr Edhouse, who was her lover and also living at the house.
The prosecution’s case is that the murder was committed so Ms Attwood could access Mr Taylor’s life insurance.
Another member of Aryan Nations, Corey Dymock, is also on trial accused of taking part in the murder, while a fourth person, an associate of the group who cannot be identified, admitted his part in the killing and has been jailed.
State prosecutors allege Mr Taylor was attacked with a hammer by Mr Edhouse, Mr Dymock and the associate, while Ms Attwood turned up the music to drown out the sound of what was happening before ransacking the house to make it look like a burglary.
They say the four then went to see the film The Jungle Book to try to create false alibis.
Joanna Menagh // Aryan Nations white supremacist ‘death squad’ murdered man for insurance claim, court told – ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) – Robert Wayne Edhouse, 22, Melony Jane Attwood, 36, and Corey Joshua Dymock, 21, are on trial in WA’s Supreme Court accused of murdering Ms Atwood’s partner, 42-year-old Alan Taylor, at their Girrawheen home in April 2016.
The court was told the victim was repeatedly hit with a hammer has he lay on his bed in the home he owned, the morning after returning home from a fly-in fly-out shift on a mine site.
Prosecutor Justin Whalley said all three accused were members of the Aryan Nations, which he said claimed to strive for “equality in Australia, but in reality was just an affiliation of like-minded racists and white supremacists with an affinity for Hitler Nazism and the Third Reich”.
Mr Whalley said Mr Edhouse — who was the president of the group and also living at the Girrawheen house — was having a relationship with Ms Attwood, who ran “a division” called Aryan Girls.
