Hello this is De’Keither Stamps and I want to respond to this article in The Clarion Ledger that — Mayor Lumumba is not even in the ground yet, and we’re talking about what’s next? What’s next is a funeral and a memorial service. That’s what’s next. What’s next is mourning period, healing. That’s what’s next. What’s next is — now is a time for us to celebrate, and in seven months a perceived radical brought together all of Jackson. We’ve achieved more racial harmony in the state of Mississippi and in Jackson, MS than we’ve ever had in 300 years and he did it in seven months. That’s what’s next. A celebration of the life of the honorable late Mayor Chokwe Lumumba. That’s what’s next. Thank you very much.
